Members of EMJ’s accounting team participated in a build day for Habitat for Humanity in Chattanooga. The team spent the day installing all necessary flashing and windows on a house for a family in need.
The accounting department seeks to do two volunteer opportunities per year to give back to the community.
“I love volunteering and arranging volunteer days for our accounting team to give back to our community,” says Cara Woolsey, Project Accountant II at EMJ. “Volunteering isn’t just about having photos taken and a high five for spending a few hours helping others. Volunteering helps with team bonding, allows us to serve those around us in need, and gives us a slight glimpse into the life of what our superintendents do every single day.”

For 53 years, we have charged our teams, nationwide, to be servant leaders who lead by example and inspire and serve others. Whether in an office, at a meeting, or on a job site, we perform our work by serving others. Our team’s willingness to dedicate this day to serving others exemplifies the servant leadership embedded in EMJ.
