Overview
Phase II of the Robotics Technology Park is an industrial development located in Tanner, Ala., that NASA, U.S. military, bio-technology, and agri-technology companies use to perform research and development in robotics automation. The Advanced Technology Research and Development Center spans 30,000 square feet and features four high bays, laboratories, and classrooms. The Robotics Technology Park was developed through a partnership between Calhoun Community College and the Alabama Industrial Development and Training Institute. The structure includes a raised data-compatible floor system, a viewing mezzanine, and data ports both inside and out. The project boasts a test track with an elevated viewing platform and receives a LEED Silver-Certified rating.
