Overview
Shaw Industries Plant T1 is an industrial development located in Adairsville, Ga., that spans 686,668 square feet. The carpet tile manufacturing facility consists of a 496,226-square-foot manufacturing area with a 107,506-square-foot warehouse and a 12,500-square-foot administrative annex. Exterior walls at the manufacturing and warehouse areas are plant precast attached to a structural steel frame that carries a TPO roof system. The office area exterior is comprised of aluminum metal wall panels, aluminum storefront, and split-face block. The facility is fixed with 27 loading docks, eight storage silos that 88 feet in height, and a rail spur for material distribution. The project is slated to achieve LEED Silver.
