EMJ Construction has appointed Holly Bischoff as Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, she is responsible for the overall fiscal functions of EMJ and its subsidiaries and related companies. She will continue to work with the Executive Leadership Team to establish long range goals, strategies, plans and policies for each while aligning them with the overall mission, strategy, and vision of EMJ.
“Holly has been an integral part of the Accounting and Finance department for many years,” said Burt Odom, President and CEO, EMJ Construction. “She’s been the backbone of the Accounting Department during her tenure, authored much of the company’s financial direction, forged deep relationships with our financial partners, and served as a trusted senior-level counselor to the EMJ Construction executive team.”
In this role, she will work closely with and oversee the department’s well-established and seasoned leadership team. She will oversee internal and external accounting operations and procedures, including preparation of budgets, financial reports, as well as tax and audit functions.
Bischoff was raised in Crossville, Tenn. After graduating from Tennessee Technological University with a B.S. in Accounting, she attended The University of Oregon and earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance.
She began her career as a Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen before moving to Brach’s Confections where she served as a Financial Reporting Supervisor and Budgeting and Planning Manager.
Bischoff joined EMJ in 2004 where she has served in successive positions, including Controller, Vice President of Finance and Accounting, Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting, and Interim Chief Financial Officer.
“Holly has been a key leader in our organization for many years,” said Odom. “We’re very excited to watch EMJ Construction continue to grow and succeed under her financial leadership.”
Bischoff lives in Chattanooga with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling in her camper, reading, photography, and spending time with her immediate and extended family.
