Overview
The 26,679 square-foot expansion of Silverdale Baptist in Chattanooga, Tenn., includes a two-story addition to the Silverdale Baptist Church and the Silverdale Baptist Academy. The addition ties into the existing building in five locations on the first and second floors. The expansion includes science labs, restrooms, classrooms, offices, a kitchen and a large two-story lobby featuring a large stone fireplace and extensive millwork. The shell of the construction consists of Geo-Pier foundations, concrete, CMU, hollowcore, and steel. The EMJ team assists the owner with purchasing materials to take advantage of tax savings.
